Travel Training Co-ordinator

Location: Multi-Site Salary: Business Support Grade 7: £26,885 - £29,379 Closing Date: 10th July 2024

Contract: Full Time 37 hours per week, Permanent, Full year

Location: South Bristol Skills Academy (BS14), College Green (BS1), Ashley Down (BS7), Parkway (BS34) (Base centre allocated on appointment – travel to all centres required)

We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive member of staff to join the Additional Learning Support Dept or take on a new role within the Dept.

About the role:

  • To ensure a high-level travel training programme is delivered to meet the needs of young people with learning difficulties and autism, in line with stated EHCP outcomes.
  • To support students to achieve their aspirations and increase their independence.
  • To provide leadership, coordination and to oversee the day to day running of the college’s travel training programme.
  • To carry out ongoing assessment and monitoring to report on the impact of the travel training programme.
  • To work closely and collaboratively with other ALS colleagues, teachers, students and parents/caregivers

You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excelling working relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders both internally and externally.
